Bridges
A bridge is another alternative to replace missing teeth. Often, when there is a missing tooth, other teeth around it start to shift and can move into the space where the tooth used to be. This can cause problems with biting forces, occlusion and jaw or joint trauma. A bridge consists of a tooth colored crown on each tooth on either side of the space. A false tooth is then suspended in the space between the crowns. This is permanently cemented and cannot be removed.
